About

a group of people riding skis on a body of water

I’ve always been around the water as a kid. During my early years, I vividly remember our family packing our little inflatable raft in the back of the van and heading out to drive the lower Clackamas River. It was so much fun and I loved that time we spent together as a family. When we got older my dad bought an eight-man white water raft and we would make an annual trip to one of the many rivers in Oregon. One year we tackled the Rogue River in Southern Oregon, another year the Grand Ronde in Eastern Oregon. We were lucky enough to even hit the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. The Deschutes was always a favorite and I would look forward to summer when another trip would be planned.

My love for the river has never left me. A few years ago I bought my first inflatable kayak at a garage sale while living in Lake Oswego. At the time, I was living near the Tualatin River and had visions of drifting down it with my own small children. It wasn’t until I moved to the Clackamas area that I was finally able to use my, now not so new, acquisition. My first time out on the river in this little inflatable kayak brought back memories and renewed my love for the outdoors.

Oregon River Rentals began in the summer of 2009 from this experience. I teamed up with a good friend of mine and together we hope to provide an opportunity for others to enjoy the beauties of the outdoors that Oregon has to offer. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and easy way for people to create lasting memories of their own.
